This Offshore Safety and Rescue Training (CPSO) course gives you the hands-on knowledge and emergency response skills required to work safely on offshore installations. From helicopter underwater escape to fire suppression and sea survival, every module is built for real offshore conditions. Get certified and get to work with confidence.
What you will learn:
You will learn how to identify and control offshore hazards using industry-standard risk assessment methods and permit-to-work systems. The course covers survival at sea, immersion suit operations, lifeboat and life raft procedures, and offshore first aid including trauma management and casualty evacuation. You will train in breathing apparatus use, confined space entry, and fire detection and suppression. Helicopter safety and underwater escape drills are included, along with emergency response coordination and search and rescue communication. By the end, you will have the practical competencies required to protect yourself and your crew in the most demanding offshore environments.

Breathing Apparatus and Confined Space Entry
Lesson 1 • Respiratory Hazards Offshore
Identifies toxic, oxygen-deficient, and flammable atmospheres common on offshore installations. Establishes the hazard context that justifies BA and confined space controls.
Lesson 2 • Confined Space Rescue Techniques
Develops non-entry and entry rescue methods for incapacitated workers. Integrates BA competency with rescue rigging and casualty extraction.
Lesson 3 • Safe Entry and Work Procedures
Trains the step-by-step process for entering, working in, and exiting confined spaces. Applies permit and BA skills in a controlled sequential workflow.
Lesson 4 • Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
Covers SCBA components, pre-use checks, and operational procedures. Builds the foundational skill required before any confined space entry training.
Lesson 5 • Confined Space Classification and Permits
Teaches the classification of confined spaces and the permit-to-work process for entry. Connects regulatory knowledge to practical entry authorisation.
